Margo Goldman is a transactional attorney with a practice emphasis on securities law, including private placement offerings, private equity funds, CITs, ETFs, UITs, and registered mutual funds. She represents a wide range of clients in the structuring and negotiation of private and public securities transactions, working directly with numerous government agencies while also dedicating time to public speaking engagements, legislative moderating, and pro bono legal representation for asylees. She began her legal career in Chicago, previously working in-house for Northern Trust Global Investments and subsequently as an associate in the Corporate and Securities Group at Chapman and Cutler. Margo received the “Rising Star” designation in 2014 by Illinois Super Lawyers and earned her law degree in 2005 from the University of Iowa College of Law; in addition to her legal experience, Margo earned an M.Sc. with distinction in 2002 from The London School of Economics and B.A. in 2000 from Northwestern University. Margo is licensed to practice law in Illinois and New York.
