Scott Laton practices in the area of general commercial litigation. Prior to joining Berger Legal, Mr. Laton was Special Counsel to the Chairman at MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. Previously, he was a litigation associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where he focused on insurance and antitrust law. Mr. Laton served as law clerk to Judge Edward R. Korman in the Eastern District of New York. He received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 2003, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar. Mr. Laton received his B.A. from Wesleyan University in 1994. Mr. Laton is admitted in New York and the Southern District of New York. Mr. Laton splits his time between New York City and Shelter Island, New York.
