Garry Berger's practice focuses on corporate transactions, licensing and intellectual property matters. Prior to founding Berger Legal in 2002, he worked as an in-house lawyer at The Thomson Corporation in Stamford, Connecticut. Previously, Mr. Berger spent three years at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York City and two years as a judicial law clerk to a federal judge in the Southern District of New York. Mr. Berger has authored articles on topics in the field of intellectual property and contributed to one of the world's leading treatises on the subject. Mr. Berger earned his law degree in 1994 from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar and Research & Writing Editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in politics, from Brandeis University in 1991. Mr. Berger lives in Ridgefield, Connecticut with his wife and 2 rambunctious boys.
