Joseph Turitz is an experienced corporate attorney with many years of in-house experience as general counsel and executive leader with broad experience in corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, strategic transactions, compliance, financings, securities law, employment matters, global operations and general corporate and commercial matters. Most recently, he served as Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of BioCatch Ltd., a global private equity-backed technology company valued at over $1.3 billion. Prior to BioCatch, Joe was Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at EchoStar Corporation, where he led a six-person legal team responsible for SEC reporting, M&A, joint ventures and corporate governance. Earlier in his career, he was Executive Managing Director and General Counsel at Berkeley Point Capital, and Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at CapitalSource Inc., where he led a 25-person legal team and managed legal aspects of significant public offerings and strategic transactions. Joe began his legal career as a corporate associate at Hogan Lovells (formerly Hogan & Hartson) and Arnold & Porter. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served on The Georgetown Law Journal, and his B.A. from Columbia University. He is licensed to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
