Chrystie Flournoy Swiney specializes in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Privacy Law, with a particular expertise in drafting and negotiating Data Processing Agreements, Data Transfer Agreements, and AI Addenda, as well as drafting privacy and AI policies, building privacy and AI governance programs, and conducting AI and privacy compliance audits. Chrystie is an expert in both US and global data privacy and AI laws, which are rapidly emerging and constantly evolving. Chrystie has served as in-house counsel in both the non-profit and corporate sectors, and she started her career working as an international lawyer for the US State Department. She served as Corporate Counsel for Amazon's central Privacy Law Team, and as Associate General Counsel and Associate VP for International Privacy Law for MetLife. Chrystie received a B.A. from the College of William and Mary, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and two Masters Degrees from Oxford University and Georgetown. Chrystie is licensed to practice law in both Virginia and Washington DC, and has received privacy certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
