Justin Houghton is a transactional attorney whose expertise includes drafting and negotiating a wide array of agreements and performing strategic analysis with respect to both legal and business matters, with extensive experience counseling a large spectrum of clients from global financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies to start-up enterprises. In particular, his practice covers commercial, financial and intellectual property-related matters, and Justin also has experience representing sponsors, managers and investors in private equity funds, hedge funds and registered mutual funds. Prior to joining Berger Legal, Justin spent six years as an associate in the New York and Hong Kong offices of Shearman & Sterling, including a secondment in the alternative investments legal team at Credit Suisse. Justin earned his law degree at New York University School of Law, and in addition to his legal experience, holds an M.B.A. from the NYU Stern School of Business and a B.S. in finance from Wake Forest University. Justin is licensed to practice law in New York.
