Ken Carson is a corporate attorney with many years of in-house experience with an emphasis on mergers & acquisitions, strategic alliances, complex technology licensing and media transactions, intellectual property strategy and counseling and general corporate and commercial matters. He previously served as General Counsel of Cengage Learning (formerly part of The Thomson Corporation (now Thomson Reuters)), a position he held since 2001. Ken served on the Board of Directors of the Association of American Publishers (AAP) and also served for seven years as Chairman of the AAP Copyright Committee. He previously was Assistant General Counsel for Maxwell Macmillan in New York. Ken began his career as a law clerk for the Honorable Joseph T. Walsh of the Delaware Chancery Court, the nation’s preeminent forum for the determination of disputes involving the internal affairs of business entities. Ken received his law degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 1984. Ken is licensed to practice law in Maryland, Massachusetts and New York.
