Joanne Wong is a corporate attorney with extensive experience as in-house counsel in general corporate law, securities law, capital markets transactions, commercial contracts and corporate secretarial functions. Joanne began her career practicing law in the corporate department of Oslers in Toronto and moved as an Associate to Simpson Thacher in New York where she practiced in the Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions group. Joanne also has over 12 years of experience as senior in-house counsel to two international banks and their U.S. broker-dealers as each firm’s capital markets and financial advisory legal counsel, involved in all aspects of transactional business. In these roles, she also took on Corporate Secretary matters, drafted and implemented policies and procedures, including the set up of Compliance infrastructures, and reviewed vendor agreements and other commercial contracts and commercial matters. Joanne is licensed to practice law in New York.
